Baton Rouge Rose Society participates in many rose events throughout the year such as pruning & propagation demonstrations, rose sales, and garden tours. We partner with Botanic Garden, BREC, LSU, Burden Center & ARS to educate the public about growing roses.

We are passionate about all roses…hybrid teas, minis, floribundas, old garden roses, modern shrubs…our Consulting Rosarians can answer your rose questions and help you select roses that do well in your southern garden.

We are currently working to refurbish the rose garden at Independence Park in Baton Rouge. Visit the garden at 7950 Independence Blvd. and see the growth habits of all varieties of roses making it easier for you to decide what roses to plant.

If you are interested in learning more about growing roses in this area, please come to one of our meetings or visit our web site www.batonrougerosesociety.org
